"Even now he still helps me by giving milk for a member of my family who may need it. He knows I have nothing to give him back. As you see I still live in refuge camp. I can't thank him enough."
Pascal Gahungu and Caritas Mbunduguru (Continued.)

Caritas: My children now are grown up. One of them is in secondary school, in the 10th grade. Another one is finishing the primary school. The oldest one is married.

Pascal: Her children have grown up. They study in secondary school, they are helped by Maggy's Shalom.

Caritas: The killers escaped to Tanzania. The only people who stayed here are those who weren't guilty of anything.

Tutsi were the victims of the killing of President Ndadaye. Even unborn babies were killed with their mothers. They didn't even bury them properly. The bodies were placed in one big hole. If you go to the parish over there, you'll see a monument to them. In Mugege bones have been put together in one place.

I'm really grateful to Pascal. Even now he still helps me by giving milk for a member of my family who may need it. He knows I have nothing to give him back. As you see I still live in refuge camp. I can't thank him enough.

Q: Why did you risk your life to save those people?
I think it's God who drove me to do it. At that time, when they heard that someone saved members of the other ethnic group, they immediately killed him. The holy spirit inspired me to save them.
